Described as an ‘Internet of things’ this allows devices to communicate wirelessly at low energy consumption with reduced maintenance, control and monitoring cost.

EpiSensor has developed products for energy consumption monitoring, street light control, water quality monitoring and, building climate control. EpiSensor is one of the first companies in the world to invent, productise and sell reliable, cost effective and easy to deploy products, using ZigBee wireless sensor networks.

With the full support and terchnical experinece of Episensor, Synctek provide ongoing system integration, development and application deployement as specialists for Episensor Wireless based systems. The Episensor range provides a secure, cost-effective two-way communication system for the real-world domain of sensors, controllers and user displays.

EpiSensor has recently release the ZEM-50 8-channel Wireless  Energy Monitor which provides a highly accurate means of remotely monitoring energy consumption patterns for up to 8 appliances and electrical circuits consuming up to 20 kW per channel. This Zigbee based wirelss energy monitor allows operation in very large mesh networks and is fully capable of monitoring your energy consumption down to the finest detail.

These devives are ideally suited for is in small (sigle households) or in very large industrial or commercial buildings. Synctek can provide complete system integration of these unique devices for any application requirement.

The NGH-10 High Gain Network Gateway provides a connection between the ZigBee wireless sensor network and the IT infrastructure. The High Gain directional antenna is intended for situations where longer or more difficult communications paths apply. It is also designed to cater for situations where positioning the Network Gateway outside is required.

Zigbee Wireless Street Lighting Controls
EpiSensor’s SLC-10 Street Light Controller provides a highly accurate means of remotely monitoring energy consumption patterns of Street Lights. It also provides on/off control of large arrays of street lights from a central location. The unit uses a wireless module based on the ZigBee standard and relays data over the network using EpiSensor's SiCA Platform.
SLC-10's can connect together is a mesh network to an EpiSensor Network Gateway and can provide a user with valuable fault detection information, lamp burn times and energy consumption data. These units can also be used for load shedding and other energy saving initiatives. The SLC-10 can be installed very easily using a standard NEMA socket or can be hard wired into a luminaire.


Zigbee Wireless Enviromental Sensors
The TES-20 Temperature Sensor is an outdoor version of the TES-11 real-time temperature monitoring device. It operates as a ZigBee end device on a network. It can achieve a 10 year battery lifetime using an inbuilt longlife permanent battery by switching into low power “sleep” mode between its typically 10-minute reporting intervals. It uses the Z31 Module for network connectivity - a compact, programmable device specially designed for the EmberZNet ZigBee™ PRO API Stack for wireless mesh networks.

The in-built ZigBee application and Ember stack manage the process of temperature reading and logging, as well as communicating the results over the network at programmable intervals. It is housedin an IP-67 weatherproof enclosure.
Zigbee Wireless Network Gateways
The NGH-10 High Gain Network Gateway combines a Z31 USB ZigBee Module with a more directional antenna to boost signal levels between it and other wireless network devices.

The Z40 ZigBee Module is a compact, programmable device specially designed for the Ember ZNet ZigBee™ PRO Stack for wireless mesh networks. Using the Ember EM250 radio and microcontroller chip, it has a 10-pin InSight Adapter port to allow easy programming from Ember Development Kits and can be programmed as a ZigBee Co-ordinator, Router or End Device. It also has a 20-pin I/O connector, which also allows for connection to a nominal 3V DC power source. An on-board memory to allow over-the-air firmware modifications without having to physically access devices that may already be deployed in the field is also included. The module is only 28mm x 30 mm in size. It can be supplied with an on-board omnidirectional chip antenna or an MMCX or U.FL connector for an external antenna.
